ACT Electrical Contracting is seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Systems Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment in commercial, industrial, and government settings. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques, providing timely resolutions.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on machinery.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure precise repairs and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure equipment availability and performance.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all performed work.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics or apprentices when necessary.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician or in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills, with proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and mechanical codes.
• 40-hour training and safety protocols for working on EPA-regulated projects and contaminated sites.
• Experience with electrical systems, including controls, motors, starters, limit switches, well pumps, conduit bending, and troubleshooting in commercial and industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to pass background clearance, fitness/physical assessments, and drug screening prior to onboarding.
  

Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to work at heights, including on scissor lifts, man lifts, and ladders.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Possession of standard electrician tools required for the job (large equipment is provided).

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
