As a design-based remodeling company, we specialize in creating beautiful and functional homes for our clients. Our projects range from whole home remodels to room additions, basements, kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor living spaces. As an estimator, you'll work closely with our drafters, interior designers, sales associates and project managers to bring our clients' visions to life.

In addition to being highly skilled and detail-oriented, you'll need to be fast-paced and efficient. We're looking for someone who can produce high-quality work in a timely manner, without sacrificing attention to detail.

We're a local, family-owned business that is rapidly growing, and we're looking for great employees to grow with us. In this position, you'll need to have a high skill level with plan reading, takeoff software, spreadsheets, algebra and writing. You will be expected to make and update cost catalogs, write formulas for costs and put together accurate scopes of work, takeoffs, estimates, budgets, supply lists and schedules. You will need some experience with drafting software.

Here is a list of some of our expectations as an estimator:

• Estimate the cost of various projects and provide estimates to management for direction and input.
• Prepare estimates for project scope, including all necessary sub-projects, and manage the process to ensure all parties are on board.
• Manage time sheets and timecards to ensure accurate reporting and timely payment of estimates.
• Coordinate with management on project status and estimate variances.
• Prepare estimates for new projects, as well as existing projects.
• Assist in preparation of estimates for new projects by gathering information from various sources, reviewing existing estimates, modifying or adding new items, and preparing estimates for review by management.
• Assist in preparation of project budgets by gathering information from various sources, reviewing existing budgets, modifying or adding new items, and preparing budgets for review by management.
• Ensure proper documentation is included with the project budget.
• Assist in preparation of project schedules and budgets by managing schedules, preparing schedules, coordinating with management on schedule changes, scheduling coordination with other departments, etc.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates by collecting information from various sources.
• Prepare budgets by collecting information from various sources.
• Prepare schedules by scheduling activities and employees.
• Prepare and update cost catalogs
• Prepare formulas for job based applications
• Request bids from sub-contractors
  
  

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating construction projects or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of field experience in remodeling
• MUST HAVE Experience with Buildertrend takeoff software or Square Takeoffs
• MUST HAVE Experience in Buildertrend software
