- Install, program, test, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm system issues, ensuring compliance with NFPA 72 and other fire codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure proper system installation.
- Work closely with customers to provide outstanding service and ensure all systems meet local building and fire codes.
- Perform regular system inspections and preventative maintenance to keep alarms in working order.
- Complete and submit detailed reports on installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and company policies.
- Travel to various job sites as needed, providing timely and reliable service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience installing fire alarm systems, including conduit, wiring, programming, servicing, and troubleshooting Silent Knight Basic, Silent Knight Farenhyt/IFP, Firelite, Notifier, & Potter systems.
- Strong understanding of fire alarm codes, regulations, and standards, including NFPA 72 and local building codes.
- NICET certifications (strongly preferred).
- Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical manuals related to fire alarm equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
