Job Overview

AZ Grading & Underground LLC is seeking an experienced Grading & Paving Project Manager to join our team. This is an active, hands-on position that combines office work with fieldwork. While the role requires strong project management skills, we also expect the manager to get on heavy equipment as needed, ensuring smooth operations on the job site. This position will not only manage a portfolio of projects but will also be responsible for ordering equipment, assigning resources, and overseeing multiple grading and paving projects at any given time. The ideal candidate will have experience leading construction teams, managing grading and paving projects, and ensuring quality work and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Manage and oversee multiple grading and paving projects from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
• Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure the proper grading and paving tasks are carried out.
• Monitor daily operations, including scheduling, equipment usage, and resource allocation.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure grading and paving work meets project specifications and standards.
• Ensure safety procedures and regulations are adhered to at all times on job sites.
• Provide regular updates and reports to clients, supervisors, and project stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, including material costs and labor expenses.
• Address any project issues or concerns that arise and provide timely solutions.
• Oversee project documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Order equipment and assign necessary resources for project execution.
• Actively participate in the field when required, including operating heavy equipment to ensure project progress.
  
  

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in grading and paving project management, preferably in the Gilbert, AZ area.
• Strong knowledge of grading, paving, and excavation processes, as well as heavy equipment operations.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and track project expenses.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and construction codes.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and manage physical demands of the position.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional construction management certifications are a plus.
