We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will operate various types of heavy machinery, including trackhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and excavators, to support roadwork and utility projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as trackhoes, bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and related machinery.
- Perform work related to roadwork, grading, trenching, sewer, water, and storm drain installations.
- Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections to ensure machinery is safe and functional.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grading requirements to complete tasks accurately.
- Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and team members to meet project deadlines and expectations.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance, including routine troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations on job sites.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and ensure proper storage of equipment after use.
- Communicate equipment issues and project updates promptly to supervisors.
