Key Responsibilities
- Perform start-up, shutdown, and winterization of irrigation systems.
- Diagnose and repair irrigation systems, including broken lines, valve replacements, controller programming, and sprinkler head adjustments.
- Conduct system certifications and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Lead and supervise a crew member, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Train team members on irrigation techniques, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
- Maintain equipment and shop areas for safety, functionality, and cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to promote teamwork and efficiency.
- Use company-provided apps and software for:
- Route planning and job tracking
- Timekeeping and scheduling
- Equipment maintenance tracking
- Team communication and reporting
- Assist in other departments as needed, including chemcare, holiday lighting, landscaping, and snow removal.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays.
- Arkansas RPZ/Backflow Certification & Repair (Company will pay for classes and testing).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to push/pull up to 150 lbs. and walk several miles daily.
- Strong English comprehension skills (reading, writing, and math).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in irrigation, lawn care, landscaping, or a related field with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using technology, including iPads, apps, and scheduling software.
- Understanding of small engine maintenance and repair.
- Experience hauling and maneuvering trailers.
