Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and government clients.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with HVAC equipment.
- Install and replace components such as compressors, motors, coils, and refrigerant lines.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, building codes, and EPA regulations.
- Utilize manufacturer training and technical knowledge to optimize HVAC system performance.
- Maintain accurate service records and provide detailed reports on work performed.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of service recommendations.
- Train and mentor junior technicians as needed.
- Work on prevailing wage projects and other specialized government contracts as required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an HVAC technician.
- Valid Journeyman HVAC license (Required).
- Strong knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC components.
- Experience with EPA regulations, refrigerants, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces when necessary.
- OSHA and fall protection training (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
