ICON National is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer I to join our dynamic Project Management team. This entry-level role is integral to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The Project Engineer I will manage critical document controls, assist in the construction process, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to keep projects running efficiently.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Document Control: Prepare, distribute, and maintain logs and files for RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, and Meeting Minutes.
  • Pre-Construction Support: Assist with creating documentation for tenant and subcontractor preconstruction meetings.
  • Change Order Management: Draft and track Change Order Requests to owners and Subcontractor Change Orders.
  • Communication & Reporting:
    • Maintain a working knowledge of the project scope, budget, and schedule.
    • Record, compile, and distribute OAC Meeting Minutes and other critical updates.
    • Support weekly project updates to owners.
  • Software & Documentation:
    • Upload and organize project documentation in OneDrive.
    • Assemble monthly Draw Packets for project review.
    • Participate in project closeout processes, ensuring all required documentation is submitted.
  • Compliance & Rebates: Gather and submit information for energy rebate programs.
  • Team Support: Assist Project Managers with various day-to-day tasks throughout the construction process.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Skills And Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficient in construction processes, including COR, SCO, PO, Submittal, RFI, and project closeout procedures.
    • Completion of Blueprint Reading Classes.
    • Familiarity with construction project management software, Excel, and MS Project.
  • Analytical & Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed records, and solve complex problems.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with team members, subcontractors, architects, and owners effectively.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to project locations as needed.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license in good standing.

  • Flexible hours may be required based on project demands, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • The position primarily involves working outdoors on construction sites.

Schedule

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Employees stay in a company house during the project week and go home every other weekend.

Work Location:

  • Scottsdale, AZ
  • Travel required to various project sites as needed.
