Key Responsibilities
As a Service Foreman, you will:
- Lead and manage the service crew to ensure all pool services meet company quality and customer satisfaction standards.
- Supervise daily operations, including morning prep and end-of-day procedures in the garage.
- Train, mentor, and develop service crew members to improve their technical skills and efficiency.
- Ensure safety compliance by creating, implementing, and enforcing safety systems and procedures.
- Execute company service systems to optimize workflow and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct hands-on pool service and repairs alongside the service crew.
- Monitor and maintain inventory, ensuring necessary materials and tools are available.
- Collect customer payments and provide written receipts.
- Maintain accurate records, including payroll timesheets and job-costing reports.
- Provide performance evaluations to all service crew members.
- Communicate effectively with customers, documenting all important conversations and commitments.
- Drive and maintain the service truck, reporting any necessary vehicle maintenance.
To excel in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience in pool service and repair, with strong leadership abilities.
- Ability to read and follow manufacturer instructions for pool repairs and renovations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work Monday - Saturday, up to 12-hour shifts when needed.
- Commitment to professionalism, including arriving on time, wearing the appropriate uniform, and respecting customer property.
- Ability to lead by example, holding service crews accountable for high-quality work and production.
- Experience in training and mentoring new and existing employees.
- Desire to obtain and maintain APSP "Certified Service Professional" certification.
