Pine Valley Construction Company LLC is seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of a three-story mixed-use development in downtown Charleston. This project includes first-floor retail spaces and luxury residential apartments on the upper floors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex commercial projects, ensuring quality execution, and maintaining safety compliance.

• Project Management & Scheduling
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure timely project completion.
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively address any delays.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to meet deadlines.
• Site Coordination & Supervision
  • Supervise daily work of subcontractors, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Conduct on-site meetings and safety briefings to maintain job site efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and permitting requirements.
• Quality Control & Safety Compliance
  • Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of work.
  • Address construction deficiencies and ensure prompt corrective actions.
• Communication & Reporting
  • Serve as the primary on-site liaison between project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Provide daily progress reports and document all project activities.
  • Manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and coordinate resolutions with the design team.

• 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent (preferably in mixed-use, retail, or multi-family residential projects).
• Proven ability to manage mid-rise urban projects with luxury finishes.
• Strong knowledge of Charleston's building codes, permitting, and inspection processes.
• Proficiency in MS Project construction scheduling software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• OSHA 30 Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screen.
