Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces manually for concrete work, ensuring they are ready for pouring and finishing.
- Concrete Handling: Rake, shovel, and spread concrete to desired thickness and consistency.
- Finishing: Finish and screed various concrete structures and flatwork, achieving smooth and level surfaces.
- Tool Usage: Use hand and power tools to smooth, level, and consolidate concrete, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Form Work: Install and remove concrete forms; set and align forms accurately for pours.
- Rebar Installation: Bend, tie, and install rebar; cut and install wire mesh to reinforce concrete.
- Truck Operations: Direct cement truck operations and install fixtures in fresh concrete.
- Tool Operation: Operate a variety of tools including saws, grinders, ride-on screed, and jackhammers for precise concrete work.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain clean job sites and equipment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Assist supervisors and team members as required for project completion, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform strenuous activities typical in concrete work.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in concrete installation, finishing, and use of construction tools.
- Team Player: Ability to follow instructions, work independently or in a team, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility: Flexible schedule with availability for overtime and adverse weather conditions.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Commitment: Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Must pass background checks, drug screening, and maintain regular attendance.
