Job Description

Are you ready to take your career in construction management to the next level? Arnett Construction, a diversified commercial contracting firm, is seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager specializing in Custom Home Construction to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of multiple projects at once. Including new custom homes and large renovation and remodeling projects. You will be Working directly with the field and office management team to ensure quality, budget adherence, and timely completion. This includes maintaining the highest quality, and coordinating all trade and field personnel while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. We have multiple projects open and new projects booked well into next year.

Candidates must have 10 years of experience in construction management or other related fields, must have strong skills in time management, communication, ability to work under tight deadlines, and under pressure. The right candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all parties involved in the construction project, and while handling difficult issues and/or personalities.

Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

  • Promote and Ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and quality in all that we do.
  • Working directly with Clients, Architects, Designers, Employees, Sales, Designers, and more with the highest quality communication and respect.
  • Responsible for field operations and field supervisors.
  • Review job cost reporting and assist the president in maintaining budget control.
  • Build all projects in accordance to approved construction documents and specifications and changes that are communicated, red-lined, and otherwise documented throughout the construction process.
  • Build and manage job schedules with supervisors and hit target milestone dates.
  • Build and manage job budgets and consistently bring in jobs at or under budget.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and coworkers.
  • Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards.
  • Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy & regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with necessary subs, vendors, and president.
  • Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback to president prior to
  • contract award.
  • Managerial oversight of project, planning, scheduling, implementation, and coordination of high-quality custom-built homes from development through final.
  • Construction on a timely and economical basis per Arnett standards, while
  • maintaining a low-cost variance.
  • Building rapport with customers and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the building process.
  • Coordinating and completing homebuyer reviews, meetings, and phone calls.
  • Motivating, managing, and inspecting the quality of work that is performed by subcontractors and holding them accountable for quality work
  • Track and control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overruns.
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors and subcontractor relationships in order to build homes on schedule and close on time.
  • Complete homes and all customers walk through items prior to closing
  • Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Achieving quality standards and 5-star client ratings.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in Custom Homes
  • Highly organized and thorough in tasks and duties
  • Able to follow up on all tasks and any open-ended issues
  • Ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines while maintaining positive relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel/Office and G Suite Products (Docs and Drive)

Skills Strongly Desired

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Social Media aspect LinkedIn | Facebook | Instagram
  • Detailed oriented, Creative thinking, and Problem Solving
  • Very well organized and ability to stay on top of multiple projects
  • Working knowledge of various construction management software
  • English / Spanish Bilingual is a plus
  • Familiarity with local subcontractors and building codes

Education

  • Associates Degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • Work Experience of 10 years of Custom Home Construction(Required)
  • Proven track record of managing high ticket construction projects.
