Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cabling
- Work on a variety of residential, commercial, and government projects
- Troubleshoot and repair cabling issues, ensuring optimal network performance
- Follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and industry standards to complete installations
- Use testing equipment to verify cable performance and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines
- Work both independently and collaboratively with other team members and contractors
- Document work completed and communicate effectively with project managers and clients
- Experience in a similar role or field (we will provide training on our specific processes)
- Knowledge of network cabling, fiber optics, and structured cabling installation
- Familiar with EIA/TIA A/B Color Codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Comfortable with heights, confined spaces, and physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- No required licenses, but technical certifications (BICSI, OSHA, etc.) are a plus
- Able to discern between multiple colors.
