Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous hands-on field supervision for all construction operations, including direct supervision of assistants, foreman, craftsmen, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel directing them in the planning, coordination and execution of work on time, within budget, achieving high standards of workmanship, attaining or exceeding profit goals, maintaining a safe workplace, promoting and enhancing client relationships in the Company.
• Assist the Project Manager with finalization of project schedule.
• In coordination with the Project Manager, participate in the review and selection of subcontractors and vendors during the budget phase as needed.
• Provide advice and assistance to Project Manager and upper level management on construction matters as requested.
• Become thoroughly familiar with the plans, specifications, and contract with owner,
• subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings and all documents related to the project. Become thoroughly familiar with all building codes and local ordinances. May need to acquire proper literature.
• Verify plans are being followed by trades each step of their construction. Read the details and the notes on the drawings and convey them to the subcontractors and workmen that they must adhere to the plans. Read plans before subcontractors and workmen start areas of work to be knowledgeable of their work.
• In coordination with the Project Manager, conduct jobsite meetings with subordinates, subcontractors and others as appropriate to inform, coordinate and direct the work.
• Procure any Final Paperwork from the Municipality and provide to Project Manager for delivering to owner, architect and our records
• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from start to finish.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and address issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting timelines as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including progress reports, safety logs, and material usage.
• Oversee job site setup and teardown, including equipment and material logistics.
• Resolve conflicts or issues that arise on the job site in a timely manner.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
• OSHA certification is required.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Schedule

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
