Exciting opportunity to join a leader in the energy industry as a Traveling Aluminum Welder! Great pay and benefits with a one-of-a-kind team environment. Must have both TIG and MIG aluminum welding experience. Stringent background check required for nuclear plant access. Requirements for qualification include but are not limited to a clean driving record, clean legal record and healthy financial record. We require a high level of quality and safety. We have in-person weld tests at our corporate office in St. Cloud, MN. Once you apply, we will get back to you within 48 hours of submitting your application if you qualify to take the weld test. If you are invited, you are responsible for getting yourself to the testing facility.
You do NOT need to live in St. Cloud, MN to be considered for this position. We require a maximum of 2 hours' distance from an international airport.

- We have an in-house training program to prepare you to work safely, productively and efficiently in power generation facilities of all types.
- Paid travel to work locations across North America - ability to obtain security clearance by stringent background checks is required, including but not limited to clean driving record, clean legal record and healthy financial situation.
- Manual GTAW (TIG) Aluminum welding required for the majority of projects with a variety of material thicknesses
- Typical schedule involves 10-hour workdays, 6 days a week when on a project (not guaranteed)
- Be ready for emergency work that may require evenings and weekends
- Must be comfortable with heights and working from scaffolding
- Comfortable welding outdoors in varying climates
- Desire to learn and grow within the training program

- Must have clean background check to allow access into nuclear power plants
- Must have attention to detail, take pride in your craft and operate safely
- 3 years of experience as an Aluminum Welder (MIG)
- 3 years of TIG Aluminum experience
- Certification of Welding from an accredited trade school is preferred
- Knowledge of power generation industry a plus
- Comfortable with heights
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to attain or provide OSHA-10 certification
- Ability to attain or provide TWIC card
- Ability to become certified in accordance with the company's welding procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of raw materials, welding processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing of goods.
- Demonstrative ability to read and follow processes, procedures and work instructions
- Physical ability to independently lift, carry or maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively and professionally
- Demonstrative ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrative ability to use computers and shop reference manuals.
- Demonstrative knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Available and open to extensive overnight travel as deemed necessary.
