Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead crews in the installation of underground utilities (storm, sewer, water).
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure proper installation.
- Maintain production schedules while upholding quality and safety standards.
- Conduct daily job site inspections and enforce safety protocols.
- Train and mentor crew members on best practices and company procedures.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed to support job site operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field efficiently.
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to coordinate workflow.
- Ensure all materials and tools are available to keep projects moving forward.
- Previous experience in a similar role or field (experience in underground utility installation preferred).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a crew.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety practices.
- Hands-on experience with trenching, pipe laying, and backfilling.
- Basic understanding of grades, elevations, and laser levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Valid driver's license preferred, but no required licenses.
