This is a hands-on, full-time role ideal for someone with strong welding and millwright skills, as well as the flexibility to take on general labor duties when needed. Key Responsibilities

• Perform stick welding and millwright work on commercial/industrial construction sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints and layout fabrication including transitions, pipe, catwalks, and brackets.
• Fabricate and install structural steel and safety rails.
• Set and pour concrete pads and pump bases.
• Operate forklifts, JLG lifts, and pipe threading machines safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrate proper rigging, lifting, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Collaborate with crews on general labor tasks when needed to support company workload year-round.
• Maintain and use all PPE and safety harness equipment appropriately.
• Supply your own welding tools and maintain them in safe working condition.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in welding and/or millwright work.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and metal fabrication.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety protocols and jobsite safety practices.
• Must be physically capable of lifting, standing, kneeling, and climbing on an active construction site.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must provide personal welding tools and demonstrate knowledge of safe tool handling.

• Full-time | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Additional hours as required by project timelines
  
  

Work Location:

Primary job sites are based in Ames, IA and across Central Iowa. Occasional travel may be required for specific projects.
