As IT Project Manager, you will play a central role in overseeing and managing IT projects within the organization. You are responsible for planning, executing, and closing IT projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the project's objectives and requirements.

​This is an onsite position (4-5) days a week (flexibility offered) located in Winston-Salem, NC. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas now or in the future.

Essential Functions
  • ​​Project Planning: The Project Manager collaborates with stakeholders and project teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. They develop a detailed project plan, outlining the tasks, resources, and milestones.
  • ​Resource Allocation: The Project Manager allocates the necessary resources, including SMEs, equipment, and budget, to ensure that the project has the required capacity and capabilities to execute successfully.
  • ​Task Assignment: The Project Manager assigns specific tasks and responsibilities to individual team members based on their skills and expertise. They ensure that team members understand their roles and responsibilities within the project.
  • ​Monitoring Progress: The Project Manager closely monitors the progress of the project. They track tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure that the project stays on schedule and meets the established deadlines.
  • ​Risk Management: The Project Manager identifies potential risks that may impact the project's success and develops strategies to mitigate or address these risks. They work with the project team to proactively handle challenges and obstacles.
  • ​Communication and Collaboration: The Project Manager facilitates communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders. They hold regular meetings, provide status updates, and ensure that everyone is informed about the project's progress.
  • ​Project Coordination: The Project Manager coordinates the efforts of cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of tasks. Facilitates regular team meetings, provides status updates, and manages project documentation to ensure that everyone is on the same page and working towards project goals.
  • ​Resource Accountability: The Project Manager holds project resources accountable for the delivery of their work by setting clear expectations, defining roles and responsibilities, and monitoring progress. Tracks task completion, identifies potential roadblocks, and works with team members to address issues or deviations from the project plan. Additionally, they ensure that resources have the necessary tools, information, and support to successfully execute their tasks.
  • ​Issue Resolution: The Project Manager addresses any issues or conflicts that arise during the project. They work with the project team to find solutions and keep the project moving forward.
  • ​Quality Assurance: The Project Manager ensures that the deliverables produced by the project team meet the required quality standards. They conduct reviews and quality checks to verify that the project's outcomes align with expectations.
  • ​Change Management: If there are any changes to the project scope or requirements, the Project Manager assesses their impact and works with stakeholders and the project team to manage changes effectively. Other relative duties as assigned
  • ​Budget Management: The Project Manager is responsible for managing the project budget. They track project expenses and ensure that the project stays within the allocated budget.
  • ​Project Closure: The Project Manager oversees the project closure process. They document lessons learned, gather feedback from stakeholders, and ensure that all project deliverables are completed and handed over appropriately.
  • ​Post-Implementation Review: After project completion, the Project Manager conducts a post-implementation review with the project team to evaluate the project's success, identify areas for improvement, and celebrate achievements. Other and Miscellaneous tasks as necessary ​
Minimum Qualifications
  • ​​Must have 3 years’ experience directly managing large business and technology-based projects (system implementations, strategic business initiatives, acquisition integrations, etc.)
  • ​Experience successfully delivering large projects with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
  • ​Experience successfully delivering large projects across multiple business processes and stakeholders (Ops, IT, Sales, Finance, etc.)
  • ​Experience successfully delivering large projects across a spectrum of technologies (ERP, Web, Middleware, Upgrades, Infrastructure)
  • ​Experience working with a variety of project management tools (e.g., Changepoint, Monday, MS Project, Jira)
  • ​Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization (leadership, SME, end users, etc.).
  • ​Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to adapt leadership style based on stakeholder group (situational leadership).
  • ​Excellent organizational awareness, with the ability to identify and collaborate with key influencers to drive success.
  • ​Strong business/financial acumen and negotiation skills. Strong analytical, problem solving, and qualitative analysis skills.
  • ​Experience in a distribution and manufacturing environment
  • ​Current and valid US driver’s license preferred
  • ​Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test in accordance with federal, state, and local laws​
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hand to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Frequent lifting required of items 5-25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Work Environment
​​This job operates in both a professional office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require driving to project sites. Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.​
