This position is responsible for bending, cutting specific sheet metal material for the assembly of hollow metal frames with the use of press brake, shears, and punch press and/or spot weld machines. Accuracy and fabrication are very important as most of the work involves modifications including such items as preparing for locksets, hinges, glass kits, access control devices and other such products.
Essential Functions
Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Work Environment
Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.

Essential Functions
- Assembly/fabrication of hollow metal frame parts by operation of press brake, shears, punch press and/or spot weld machines
- Start and stop equipment
- Load and unload materials from machines, carts, and dollies
- Feed or place items into equipment for processing
- Ensure conformance to specifications
- Recognize and report quality issues to your supervisor
- Frequent work saw cutting, grinding and sanding related materials
- Must maintain a high level of accuracy, efficiency and safety while ensuring quality standards by way of in-process inspections
- Experience operating press brake, shears, punch press and/or spot weld machines preferred
- Experience in metal forming and parts layout preferred
- Basic construction knowledge with specific experience related to hollow metal and commercial hardware applications strongly preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to read a tape measure, calipers and other tools
- Detail oriented
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills required
- Ability to work independently, efficiently and meet deadlines
