What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host / Hostess (Fine Dining) position at The Cook & The Cork?
The Cook and The Cork is a small, upscale yet casual chef-owned restaurant, open Wednesday through Saturday for dinner only.
We are currently searching for a host/hostess to complete our team.
REQUIREMENTS:
You are the first and lasting impression our guests see when they walk through the door! We love our creative and diverse staff, as a host, you are our ambassador. The host/hostess hours are 4-8:30 on weekdays, and till 9:30 on Saturday. We can be flexible with exact times and number of days. ! As a Host/Hostess, you will need to:
- Have an outgoing, friendly and happy disposition.
- Must maintain impeccable grooming and have a professional appearance.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Greet guests and determine the number in their party.
- Monitor dining room for seating availability, service, safety, and well being of guests.
- Stand for an extended period of time.
- Must have a high school diploma
- Must be completely fluent in English
