Job Overview
The Cookie Plug Dallas is a small, family-owned bakery. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales & Marketing Coordinator to help us expand our customer base and promote our products. There will be an hourly pay attached to this position, however this is a commission-based position with excellent earning potential through commissions and performance bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Outreach: Proactively generate new business by cold calling, networking, and visiting local businesses, cafes, event planners, and catering companies to promote our bakery products.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Client Acquisition: Target corporate clients, wedding planners, event coordinators, and other potential bulk order clients to expand sales channels for custom cakes, catering, and wholesale.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute effective sales strategies to meet monthly and annual sales goals.
- Product Knowledge & Customer Service: Provide expert guidance on product offerings, ensuring customers understand our range of handcrafted products, and offer personalized suggestions to meet their needs.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the bakery team to ensure the quality of products meets high standards before delivery or pick-up. Conduct product checks and manage feedback to maintain product excellence.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory to ensure products are available for orders and stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
- Social Media & Marketing: Assist in managing and promoting our bakery’s presence on social media platforms. Create engaging content and leverage digital marketing strategies to promote products and special offers.
- Promotional Activities: Participate in and organize promotional events, tastings, and collaborations with local businesses to drive visibility and sales.
- Performance Reporting: Track sales, product performance, and customer feedback, and regularly report findings to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, or a customer-facing role, particularly within the food, hospitality, or retail industries, is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Passion for quality baked goods and an understanding of bakery products.
- Proficiency in social media marketing and content creation.
- A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for client visits.
