What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Chef position at The Coonamessett?

Responsibilities:- Manage controllable department expenses such as food, supplies, uniforms, equipment, and collaborate with vendors to achieve the highest quality products at the most reasonable price
- Combine diverse ingredients in a unique way to create new and distinctive menu items and specials
- Establish a collaborative environment for kitchen workers by educating recruits and hiring personnel that fit the corporate culture
- Coordinate all kitchen food preparation, including processes, portioning, garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are presented elegantly
- Make decisions for daily culinary operations, including exceeding guest expectations and increasing revenue and profit
- Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage
- Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers
- This role requires 7-8 years of culinary experience
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team
