The Copper Crust Co in York, PA is looking for one line cook to join our 23 person strong team. We are located on 966 S George St.
The Copper Crust Co in York, PA, voted "best place for Foodies" and one of the best bakeries in the region is looking for a Pastry Chef to join our 25 person strong team. We are located across from York Hospital. We are headed down the path of expansion and looking for key individuals who are willing to learn and take on responsibility. The right individual is driven and has a hunger for more food knowledge, skills, and takes pride in their craft.
Our ideal candidate has 2 years of experience in a scratch bakery, and is attentive, motivated, reliable, professional and has a good attitude!
Sundays may be required.
Pay rate based upon experience.
Qualifications

*Experience working as a pastry chef or similar role. This position is the lead baker and pastry program manager. Experience managing production is preferred. *Baking experience in a scratch kitchen is preferred. *A desire/willingness to do/learn "our way." *Able to meet all scheduling commitments and respects what "on-time" means. *Able to anticipate the needs of others on the team, as well as, the needs of production to best serve our clientele *Strong attention to detail with a desire to "get it right," and have a "let's get it done" positive attitude especially during the busier times. *Must be able to lift 50lbs (ie bags of flour), stand and work hard for long periods. *There is no "that's not my job" here - we are looking for a team minded individual.
Responsibilities

*Work smart, work efficient, work clean and organized *Follow recipes and properly measure and weigh ingredients *Maintain a production schedule and guide team on production needs *Prep, bake and finish baked goods while maintaining highest quality standards *Organize, clean and maintain cold/dry storage and production areas. *Properly store ingredients and prepared items *Inventory, maintain and stock retail cold/dry displays *Be apart of the creative team for new or seasonal items *Clean-up, organize and sanitize the restaurant, particularly the assigned station at the end of the shift ensuring leftover foods are treated with proper care. *Stock and assist with maintaining inventory *…and what ever it takes in the moment to ensure a guest has the best experience
