Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires proficiency in dental office procedures, including handling patient records and insurance verification, as well as familiarity with office management systems and claims status and insurance reconciliation a must.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming phone calls using multi-line phone systems, directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the front desk calendar efficiently.
- Perform insurance verification and manage patient billing processes, including ICD-9 coding.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations as well as insurance claims status.
- Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and recordkeeping.
- Handle 10 key typing tasks for data entry and billing purposes.
- Assist with office management duties to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes, insurance verification, claims status and ICD-9 coding is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using computer systems and office software, particularly Eaglesoft or similar practice management software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient service.
