We are looking for a full timeactivity director for our assisted living community, specializing in memory care. Previous experience is preferred as an activity director in any kind of senior living community.
As the Activity Director in our Assisted Living facility, you will be instrumental in engaging our residents in life enrichment activities. Your role involves planning and implementing engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of seniors, specifically those with Alzheimer's and dementia. Your core skills in communication and assisted living, combined with premium expertise in calendar planning and recreational therapy, will ensure a vibrant community atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily activities for residents, ensuring engagement in memory care programs.
- Develop and implement recreational therapy sessions tailored to individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to foster a supportive environment.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide counseling on aging issues.
- Manage schedules for events and activities, promoting social interaction and well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents with dementia and Alzheimer's.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
