Position Summary: Under the direction of the Parent Support Supervisor, the purpose of the Family Liaison is to improve communication and student achievement by promoting parent and community involvement in the educational process; refer and provide information on services available to students and families; convey information regarding school activities, policies,
goals, and procedures; plan, organize, and coordinate events in support of the School’s educational program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Facilitate communication with parents/guardians on behalf of the School for the purpose of creating and maintaining a partnership between home and school and creating a greater understanding of educational procedures. E
? Assist with school social media accounts and contribute ideas/content to build community on various social media platforms. E
? Serve on the Parent Advisory Committee as a representative. E
? Assist parents in their awareness of School policies, programs, and resources for youth and community services. E
? Route emails on behalf of the organization. E
? Assist in the promotion of school events and teacher-led field trips. E
? Schedule and host weekly park days/meet-ups and co-coordinate other school events.E
? Schedule and host field trips/events for the school community.
? Communicate with prospective families who are interested in the School; including hosting info sessions during open enrollment, and corresponding with families on the interest list. E
? Attend and participate in a variety of in-service training, and School and community activities for the purpose of receiving and/or conveying information to promote parent/guardian involvement in the educational process. E
? Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
? High school diploma or equivalent
? Experience with the operation of a Charter School preferred
Qualifications:
? Must live in the Northern California, Sacramento area
? Must have a valid California driver’s license and must be insurable under the School’s insurance policy. Must maintain personal vehicle insurance and submit proof to Human Resources when requested. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
? Familiar with non-classroom-based charter school operations
? Ability to communicate well and display excellent customer service
? Ability to interact with parents, teachers, and the community in a helpful, courteous, and friendly manner
? Ability to maintain diplomacy and professionalism under pressure
? Demonstrates an excellent level of cultural acceptance and inclusion
? Comfortable with online/virtual meeting platforms including Google and Zoom, etc.
? Proficiency in Google (docs, sheets, forms, drives), and data management environments
? Ability to learn and follow Charter School regulations, and procedures
? Ability to be proactive and be able to solve problems
? Ability to commute to El Dorado Hills and surrounding counties.
