Position Summary: The School Counselor Technician works closely with the Counseling
Department to support high school records and high school student data. The School
Counselor Technician works collaboratively with the counselors, the Records Department, and
the Enrollment Department to ensure that student data remains accurate.
Reports to: Principal

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Evaluate incoming transcripts for accuracy. E
? Enter transcripts into the Student Information System. E
? Maintain transcripts and track whether transcripts are missing, unofficial, or official. E
? Maintain detailed notes on high school student transcripts. E
? Collaborate with the Records Department regarding transcript requests. E
? Collaborate with the Enrollment Department regarding new student enrollments. E
? Support the Counseling Department with student records and information. E
? Maintain accurate high school data in the Student Information System by performing tasks which include, but are not limited to tagging students, adding transcript modifiers, updating intended graduation dates, checking Algebra completion, and checking student legal names. E
? Import high school report cards onto the transcripts and check grades for errors. E
? Complete additional high school data projects.
? Communicate with students, parents, and internal and external professionals within
established timelines. E
? Assist high school staff with IGP support. E
? SIS Pathways: create courses, maintain accuracy for high school courses, and create specialized reports. E
? Testing: report tests from the College Board for SAT and AP scores. E
? Course Catalog: Develop, document, maintain, and format current information. E
? UCOP: Coordinate, report, update, revise, and maintain accurate data. E
? Cal Grant: Develop report and submit to CSAC. E
? Concurrent Enrollment: track students, input information/courses, and obtain transcripts. E
? Work Permits: Implement systems, process information, and maintain compliance. E
? Graduation Tracking: track progress, monitor and report, and compile awards data. E
? Documentation: create spreadsheets and SIS reports to document a variety of information to be shared with, but not limited to, the counseling team, administration, and project leaders. E
? Attend relevant training/conferences. E
? Perform other duties as assigned. E

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
