Job Description
Title: Chester County Recovery Community Outreach Coordinator
Reports To: PRO-ACT Director
Classification: Full Time – Exempt
(Evening and weekend hours as needed to implement project)
Summary: Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervision of volunteers in cooperation with Chester County Recovery Support staff and programs. The Chester County Recovery Community Outreach Coordinator will work to identify community needs and develop committees, events, and activities to increase engagement and provide recovery supports, resources and activities throughout the county.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check, The Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and FBI Criminal History Background Check required.
- Current valid driver’s license and motor vehicle with ability to travel on Council’s behalf for outreach and programming.
- Flexibility with work schedule to best support Chester County volunteers and programs
- Good presentation and coordination skills, with an understanding of recovery support services
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- CRS and/or CFRS certification required.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the development of PRO-ACT events, committees, and community activities.
- Recruit and train volunteers to facilitate activities, table events, and community outreach.
- Oversite of all community activities and volunteer coverage
- Maintain valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Conduct self in an ethical manner by adhering to the CSEPA Employee Handbook, Corporate Compliance Plan, PCB codes of ethics (as appropriate) and Council policy and procedures.

- Coordinate and organize community events, activities, and community awareness campaigns.
- Identify community resources and partners to assist with the marketing of recovery support programs, events, and services.
- Community outreach, presentations, and representation at table events and social support activities
- Responsible for growth and development of Vision Team. The Coordinator will build rapport and maintain good communication ensuring monthly meetings are held and the process for programming and activities is followed.
- Responsible for leading Chester County involvement in agency and county-wide special events
- Recruit, screen, train, and provide orientation for volunteers.
- Develop marketing materials and prepare volunteers to promote programs and services both internally and externally to ensure successful activities, events, and strong volunteer base.
- Engage volunteers in focus groups to identify community needs.
- Nurture volunteers to improve their connection to the organization.
- Provide, in conjunction with staff, an orientation and training program for volunteers using approved training materials.
- Routine correspondence, routing mail, assistance with projects/mailings, flyers, preparation, and support for trainings/meetings
- Oversite and technical assistance to volunteer campaign committees.
- Develop a recognition program for volunteers; maintain a good level of volunteer morale.
- Maintain up-to-date information on legal and governmental regulations affecting volunteers. Maintain communication with community agencies providing volunteer services for networking purposes.
- Maintain project logs, volunteer records, data input, quarterly board and monthly reports
- Keep Executive Director and Board of Directors informed on trends and changes in the volunteer field.
- Assist with Council/PRO-ACT projects and fundraising activities.
- Other duties as directed by Executive Director and/or Management Staff.
Compensation: Commensurate with Experience
