Title: Student Assistance Program (SAP) Counselor – Behavioral Health Liaison
Reports To: SAP Supervisor & Director of Prevention, Training & Education

Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Knowledge of mental health and substance-related resources and referral processes
- Commitment to student advocacy and supporting diversity and inclusion efforts
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of the Pennsylvania SAP model and relevant laws
- Attend team meetings and provide support services
- Facilitate school-based support groups, conduct student screenings and assessments.
- Assist with referrals to appropriate services
- Provide training and promote SAP services to schools and school teams
- Maintain data for required reporting
Skills and Knowledge
- Understanding of cultural diversity, trauma-informed care, and suicide prevention
- Knowledge of local resources and child-serving systems
- Familiarity with school safety issues and district protocols
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with community representatives
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.63 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
