What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiscal Specialist position at The Counseling Center?
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Finance Director the Fiscal Specialist serves as a confidential employee providing fiscal support for the agency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are duties that are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
1. Positively represents department/agency through appropriate interaction, personal appearance, and attitude.
2. Understands and maintains appropriate level of confidentiality in performance of tasks for the Administrative Staff/Finance Department.
3. Assists staff and department in implementing administrative procedures and quality assurance procedures.
4. Performs a variety of fiscal tasks for the agency. These tasks may include, but are not limited to: accounts receivable/payable functions, assist with reconciling general ledger accounts, coordination of staff/department activities, preparation of documents, generating reports, research/monitoring activities and performance of clerical reports.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary functions are to be performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc.
5. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator/Director

6. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Prior experience in an office setting of at least three (3) years preferred and/or formal secretarial training including computer experience
3. Knowledge about the disease of alcohol addiction preferred.
