JOB SUMMARY
The Site Supervisor position provides direct support and supervision to Recovery Support Specialists, oversite of clients in residential setting, and oversight of facility conditions to assure that high quality of services are being rendered to the client population served.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. The Site Supervisor performs an integral role in carrying out the mission of The Counseling Center, Inc., by performing the following duties:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of assigned site. Plans, organizes and directs services relating to the program. Ensures proper coverage of program and continuity of operation.
- Provides direct line supervision of the staff. Obtains maximum utilization of staff by clearly defining duties, establishing performance standards and conducting performance reviews of subordinates.
- Maintains quality control measures and monitors work quality for compliance with standards. Monitors the need for professional development of staff.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc.
- Provides direct services as necessary.
- Cover duties of any absent employee; schedules replacement or personally performs duties in order to ensure continuity of care.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of chemical dependency, clinical practice and performance.
- Ability in the area of effective communication, documentation, interpersonal skills and decision making.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, clinical teams, Compass Point Housing, Compass Community Health, and all others as needed.
- Ability to effectively provide supervision and guidance to program staff members and to motivate and train employees.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have experience as Recovery Support Specialist.
- Preferred supervisor experience.
- Experience working with chemically dependent people and their families preferred.
- Knowledge of alcoholism and other addictions preferred.
- Must be available to cover 1st and 2nd shift hours and be available by telephone any hours as needed.
- Maintain CPR and First Aid training.
