The Counseling Clinic (TCC) is a mental health organization specializing in trauma-informed care. We are seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to provide on-site counseling services for a workforce development program for young adults.
This program supports individuals aged 18-25 who are engaged in vocational training and environmental conservation efforts. The therapist will provide short-term individual and group counseling to support participants in managing stress, mental health challenges, and personal development.
The therapist will work on-site at a training facility in Auburn, CA, offering mental health counseling, crisis intervention, staff consultation, and educational workshops. Services will focus on short-term, solution-focused therapy, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and interpersonal challenges.
- Provide 4-5 hours per week of on-site mental health counseling services.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of young adults in a structured training environment.
- Offer staff consultation and training to enhance mental health support within the program.
- Complete necessary documentation and monthly reports as required by the contract.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure participants receive appropriate mental health support and referrals for long-term care.
- Maintain compliance with confidentiality laws (HIPAA) and program policies.
Qualifications- Active California License (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist).
- Minimum two years of experience providing counseling (preferably with young adults).
- Experience with crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and short-term counseling.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
- This is a contract position (1099); candidates must carry their own liability insurance.
- Travel time is not billable; services must be performed on-site.
- The position requires monthly reporting of client contacts and outcomes.
