Hi, I'm Hunter Holmes, a Berklee Graduate. Imagine playing the drums and feeling like you're already in a band, only it's your very first lesson. With my approach, I’m your guitarist! I teach drums with an electric guitar and a small amp, and I come to you!
I teach students how to drum while backing them up with my strong rhythm guitar. This approach works remarkably well, and it's ten times as fun. In a very short time, students become at ease with their drum kits, guided by familiar songs. Even a beginner can quickly feel relaxed.
Yes, I can teach rudiments and how to read drum music, but personally, I believe most people want to take up drums to play rather than read music. Drumming with a live electric guitar is like being in the driver's seat of a fancy sports car and going for a very nice ride!
Whether you’re 7 or 77, serious, or just wanting to explore drumming, I am the right teacher for you! Special needs individuals are welcome!
