Responsible for managing a sales territory representing Royal Manufacturing to divisions of National builders and local builders.
As a Territory Manager, you will be
expected to have the knowledge and expertise with the organization’s products
and services that you will present to Royal customers. The TM role requires the
assessment of each customer’s needs to implement solutions specifically
tailored to each customer while implementing the Royal Direct Sales Model.
Success in this position is demonstrated by the TM’s ability to achieve and/or
beat the established revenue and gross margin targets set by the
organization. Royal Territory managers build and foster strong customer
relationships. They design strategies aimed at growing regional revenue by
satisfying customer needs and special requests while working together with the
greater sales team.
Duties and
Responsibilities
Work with Sales Leadership Team to identify, acquire and grow national builders and other key accounts within assigned geography
- Create and maintain key target lists of key growth opportunity accounts
- Generate revenue and profit via the sale of company branded products into the Single-Family and Multifamily home building markets.
- Develop territory business plans per customer/opportunity
- Develop and foster customer relationships utilizing the Royal Direct Sales Model
- Development of growth strategies as dictated by market conditions within assigned territory
- Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities
- Preparation and presentation of reports to sales leadership and TM counterparts
- Recommending improvements to the sales process and strategies
- Strong ability to work across internal organization reporting structure while ensuring alignment with finance, pricing, marketing, and product teams that is focused on Royal’s business objectives
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of all company divisions’ product line offerings.
- Monitor industry & building trends and forecast, market shifts, competitor strategies & products and customer needs
- Other duties as required by the business
Qualifications
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree with an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
Experience:
· Minimum four years building products industry experience in professional sales or positions of increasing responsibility
· Understanding of and successful experience in “Direct Model” sales in the construction industry
· Thorough understanding of U.S. residential building industry
· Solid understanding of marketplace dynamics including industry trends and assessment of key competitors’ programs
· Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience
· Proficient skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
· Superior follow-up and follow-through skills

Traveling within territory 75% minimum
