PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Part-Time Golf Attendant is responsible for assisting members and guests with outside services in key operational areas, including cart fleet storage and cleanliness; cart staging presentation and cleanliness; bag drop and bag handling services; practice facility readiness, supply, and cleanliness; practice ball recovery, cleaning, and storage; supply and presentation of player amenities; supply and presentation of on-course refreshments; member club storage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to policies and procedures of The Country Club at Woodmore and the Golf Operations Department.
- Positively reflect through personal appearance and behavior the culture and traditions of The Country Club at Woodmore as defined by the Director of Golf.
- Assist with the overall upkeep of cart storage area, cart staging, clubhouse area, and practice facility.
- Provides sincere and courteous service to all members and guests with items such as, but not limited to, bag handling, cart delivery and club cleaning.
- Spread hospitality and good will among membership, guests and staff.
- Maintain the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the club washing bin and trash receptacles. Prepare golf carts for play in terms of cleanliness, stocking of amenities, uniformity in presentation. Amenities include golf towels, tees, sand bottles.
- Maintain the cart storage area and cart cleaning area in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Regularly maintain operating equipment, including power washer, ball washer, washer & dryer units.
- Ensure each of the four sand bottles on each cart are full before a golf cart is released for play.
- Maintain the practice tee presentation, ensuring there a constant supply of practice balls, bag stands, den caddies, golfer amenities. Ensure club-washing station has clean water and at least one club brush.
- Ensure short game area is stocked with balls and balls are stacked in pyramids neatly at all times when the area is not in use by members; ensure practice bunkers are raked when not in use by members.
- Ensure practice green is clear of practice balls when not in use by members.
- Stage and break down any teaching aids in the instructional area of the practice tee.
- Ensure presentation and cleanliness of practice balls. Maintains ball inventory over the course of the day, ensuring practice balls are picked and cleaned throughout the day to maintain supply.
- Maintain a clean member club storage area, with sets of clubs stored.
- Clean member and guest clubs upon completion of play.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The job requires reaching of arms and hands, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, standing or walk for prolonged periods of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position works outside and may be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with increased levels performing assigned duties.
