Job Summary
The Director of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to maintenance management, focusing on the development and implementation of effective maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills and a deep understanding of maintenance processes, including low voltage systems and the use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Duties
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality performance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical issues and ensuring safety compliance.
- Manage maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining high standards.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support ongoing maintenance efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS for tracking performance metrics.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Train and mentor staff in best practices for maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a maintenance environment.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for effective maintenance management.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to fabricate components as needed, demonstrating hands-on technical expertise.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices in all aspects of work.
- Takes a pro-active approach to maintenance.
- Can direct maintenance staff with all aspects of upkeep or upgrades
- Works directly with all town officials to pull permits and schedule all inspections.
- Monitors and controls all expenses for the Maintenance Department and Clubhouse per the Annual Operating Budget.
-Works with Golf, Tennis and Pool heads to make sure all budgeting requests are noted for approval
- Supervisory position; manages maintenance team, including schedules, time cards, and all other administrative duties.
- Maintains the maintenance shop
- Monitors safety conditions and reports to General Manager with any issues
- Attends weekly Managers meeting
- Is involved in all construction projects – can read and understand blueprints.
- Continues to search for ways to improve how The Club can run more efficiently.
o Must understand how a country club operates and have minimum 5 years’ experience
o Must be able to read blueprints
o Must be able to communicate and direct staff, vendors and contractors
o Licenses not required but must understand plumbing, electrical, boilers etc.
o Knowledge of bidding projects and completing budgets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
