The Country Club of Virginia is currently searching for a Head Dive Coach to help assist in the development and execution of a fun, fair, organized, and competitive swimming program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Supervise Assistant Coaches and Assistant Dive Coach during meets and practices
- Coach and counsel team members and enforce Club policies and regulations
- Organize and run team practices
- Instruct proper skill development
- Operate computer and input data for team
- Prepare for and attend all meets
- Attend regular meetings with swim reps and Aquatics Manager
- Communicate with swimmers, parents, and staff to address and resolve issues and/or concerns
- Administrative duties including registration, billing, tracking participation, and planning and ordering “team gear”
- Supervise children during special events such as socials
- Assist Aquatics Manager with organizing Devilfish Banquet
- Fulfill all duties as part of the management team in the Athletics department
- Provide for year-round clinics and attend meetings to plan for the summer
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervise lead assistant coach and/or assistant coaches. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Club's policies. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning, and directing work; providing recognition and appraising performance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Less than high school education and six months to one-year related experience or training.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
CPR and First Aid and WSI, preferred but not required
