Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, a strong understanding of various systems, and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facilities to ensure optimal functioning.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, and fixtures.
- Utilize schematics to understand and address complex maintenance issues.
- Conduct residential painting and minor renovations as needed.
- Fabricate parts or components when necessary to support maintenance tasks.
- Operate and maintain tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical testing.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to read schematics is essential.
- Skills in welding are a plus, enhancing the ability to perform diverse repairs.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication within the team.
- Experience in residential painting is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A strong aptitude for maintaining equipment and systems, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
