Job Description
County of Adams is seeking a part time Security Officer. This position is responsible for the safeguarding and security of the Adams County Courthouse and affiliate County offices, its assets, employees, and members of the public. This is accomplished through the use of access control equipment such as : metal detectors, X-ray machines, and by monitoring the alarm systems and closed circuit cameras. This is considered a safety sensitive position.
Minimum Qualifications :
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a certified military or civilian police officer OR licensed Security Officer (Act 120, Act 2, Act 235, Florida Class D & G or similar.
- The ability to successfully complete pre-employment physical and drug screening test, criminal background check, and minimum qualification with issued semi-automatic handgun is required.
