Job Title: Central Production Director
Reports to: Central Worship Director
Position Overview
Oversee Courageous Production across all locations, keeping a consistent level of quality and product in all areas of Production. This role oversees all elements connected to technical production, audiovisual and lighting management, and production volunteers while supporting and equipping campus production directors.
Primary Accountabilities
Multisite Leadership
- Collaborate with, equip, train, and empower volunteer campus production directors to execute high quality experiences, invest in teams, schedule positions, train new members, and build leaders.
- Develop solutions to engage volunteers and staff to manage/execute all tasks necessary with resources available.
- Collaborate with ministry teams and leaders to ensure smooth musical, technical, and stage transitions, and work through appropriate channels to address issues
- Review and update Planning Center Online (PCO) Service plans, ensuring all production elements are noted and communicated clearly with necessary teams amongst multiple campuses for both rehearsals and live experiences.
- Oversee and support both Courageous Kids and YTH production through direct and collaborative communication
Technical Production
- Manage quality, consistency and effectiveness of equipment, programs, processes and experiences associated with Courageous Production across an online broadcast and in-person streaming multisite ministry structure.
- Oversee all technical production elements related to experiences and events, producing high quality broadcast services that are executed with excellence, including exceptional sound mixing, professional camera work, and polished video direction.
- Oversee designs, installations, and maintenance requirements for technical production and audiovisual lighting systems including equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Develop and implement systems and procedures related to audiovisual and lighting requests.
- Maintain consistent processes across all areas of production while also striving to improve the workflow and communication within and between teams, such as power up/shut down procedure, message notes and lyric arrangements, audio mixing standards, etc.
- Oversee all technical production elements related to Courageous worship experiences and ministry programs/events (includes Ckids and Courageous YTH), making sure volunteer positions are equipped and executed with excellence; this includes Audio Engineers (Front-of-House, Broadcast, Environments), Lighting, Screens, Live Video Directors, Camera Operators, Producers, Stage Crew, etc.
- Manage operational production budget and identify budget needs and resources necessary for special projects.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory list of all central and campus technical, audiovisual, and lighting equipment in addition to a systems upgrade/refresh plan and preventative maintenance.
- Identify areas of tensions and growth and develop systematic and fiscally responsible solutions that foster excellence.
Creative Production
- Collaborate with creative leaders and volunteers to execute high quality audiovisual experiences.
IT
- Assist with IT troubleshooting across the organization
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of all areas of Production
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and an expectation of excellence
- Ability to utilize technology in creative ways that supports all worship experiences, holidays, events, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership of volunteers and staff
- Project management
- 3 years of related experience with the Audio/Visual industry and/or church live event production, such as:
- Familiarity with audiovisual streaming hardware and software, including RESI and OBS streaming software
- Familiarity with the Behringer X32 mixing console, digital snakes like the Behringer S16, QSys networking hardware, QSC amplifiers and/or similar live audio equipment setups
- Familiarity with DMX lighting fixtures and Hog 4 PC or similar lighting consoles
- Familiarity with ProPresenter 6 or similar presentation software
- Familiarity with live video production, film language, and camera hardware and software such as Blackmagic, ATEM video switchers, and Canon cameras
Additional Responsibilities:
- Build slides within ProPresenter and ensure all stage displays and timers are in sync at all campuses
- Collect and compile feedback from producers after each weekend experience to communicate to Campus Pastors, Campus Production Directors, and other producers
- Create resources to keep teams informed and equipped, such as training videos, checklists, Masterclasses, etc.
- Host consistent standing meetings with all Campus Production Directors
- Assist with IT support as needed
- Assist in other creative areas and projects as needed
- Be committed to constant improvement, through conferences, research, etc.

- Monday to Friday
