Job Summary

Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of recreational therapy programs aimed at improving residents' overall well-being.
- Plan and coordinate various events and activities that cater to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Facilitate group activities, ensuring participation from all attendees while providing support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to encourage participation and gather feedback on activities.
- Manage schedules for daily activities, ensuring that all events are well-organized and executed smoothly.
- Provide assistance to residents during activities, including those with memory care needs or physical disabilities.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants by adhering to safety protocols during events.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, long-term care, or home community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care principles and recreational therapy practices is a plus.
- Strong event planning skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with residents, families, and team members.
