Job Title: Medical Assistant
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team at a multi-disciplinary clinic, The Covington Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess knowledge in basic clinic procedures, taking patient vitals, basic life support, preparing exam rooms and scheduling patients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in family medicine and chiropractic.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and draw blood under the direction of a physician
- Prepare patients for x-rays
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Utilize knowledge of physiology to assist in patient assessments
- Prepare exam rooms and patients for examination
-Assist staff at reception as needed
-Answer phone calls and schedule patients
-Contact insurance companies to check benefits and get prior-authorization
-Room both medical and chiropractic patients
-Assist with rehab when needed
-Maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
- Certification in Medical Assisting
-3 Years of Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all duties performed
- Willingness to work in a dynamic environment
