Position Summary:
The NextGen Worship Director leads the worship culture and experience for all NextGen ministries, including Kids, Preteen, and Student gatherings. This role is responsible for leading worship, developing young leaders, and creating excellent and engaging worship environments in alignment with The Creek’s overall worship philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all worship environments and elements for Preteen and Student Ministry services (Stage, equipment, service order)
- Serve as a primary worship leader for Student gatherings (7-12th grade)
- Support Kids (K-3rd) and Preteen (4-6th) worship gatherings alongside Kids Team
- Develop and empower worship leaders for all NextGen worship environments
- Coordinate with NextGen Team on series content and service planning
- Oversee Student & Preteen worship volunteer systems
- Oversee Student & Preteen music arranging, PCO, and playback systems
- Develop and maintain musical equipment alongside Worship Team
- Oversee NextGen tech volunteers and systems alongside Tech Team
- Participate in NextGen meetings and events as needed
- Work with Worship Team on overall worship and creative planning
- Work with Worship Team on implementing a consistent worship and volunteer culture
- Participate and lead worship in adult worship gatherings as available
- Attend weekly Staff Huddles and monthly Staff Gatherings
- Uphold all aspects of the Staff Commitment
- Pastoral and related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A growing follower of Jesus who aligns with the mission and values of The Creek
- A gifted worship leader with experience leading youth and/or children
- Strong musical, vocal, and instrumental ability
- A shepherding heart with a passion to develop young leaders in worship
- Familiarity with Planning Center Online, audio playback systems, and worship tech
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- A team player who thrives in collaboration and creative planning
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams
