What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Technician position at The Crossing?
This position is primarily responsible for addressing resident service requests. Addition responsibilities: maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, including electrical and plumbing; repairing/replacing appliances; and maintaining grounds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor for completion
- Cleans internal areas of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
- Maintains the grounds by picking up trash.
- Washes windows.
- Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup.
- Must possess basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Paints interior and exterior walls and trim.
- Repairs parking lot and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
- Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.
- Repairs or replaces building brick, stone, and concrete.
- Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings.
- Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment such as truck, street sweeper, and riding mower.
- Assists other departments with moving furniture, appliances and unloading and storing supplies
- If part of on-call rotation, required to respond to all emergency calls onsite within 30 minutes of receiving call.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
