Production Summer Intern-Music

Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.

Production Summer Intern-Music...is a full-time summer position that will assist the production team staff with worship, music, and tech related projects and tasks, as well as serve on the weekends in a variety of different roles as needed. This position also provides opportunities for spiritual and personal growth as part of the summer internship. The summer internship runs from May 27, 2025 through August 1, 2025.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and production of rehearsals and weekend services
• Assist with planning and production of special events
• Assist with youth worship summer events and practice bands
• Assist with long-term growth and health of the music team
• Apprentice with worship team staff to learn worship skills and gain practical experience

Experience

• Prior production and music experience in a church context
  
  

Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:

• Musical abilities should include singing and/or playing an instrument well
• Experience leading worship, directing a band and running a rehearsal in a church setting a huge plus
• Knowledge and experience of programs such as Logic, Pro-Tools and Ableton Live a huge plus
• Experience with emerging technologies for worship (i.e. soft synths, drum triggers, stereo electric guitar rigs, etc.) a huge plus
• Ability to chart music and have a good understanding of basic music theory
• Good Communication Skills
• Communicating details to others
• Communicating details to other teams at other sites
• Adequately communicating information and details that are cascaded from our Programming Team

• Attend a service at one of The Crossing campuses on a weekly basis
• Passionate about their relationship with God
• Baptized after making the thoughtful decision to follow Christ
• Regard the Bible as God’s final authority in all areas of Christian life and desire to be wholly obedient to it
• Wholeheartedly affirm The Crossing’s Statement of Faith, including our view on Baptism
