Our church is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. Music Director - this full-time position is responsible for the oversight of the music team staff and related staff to assist and develop the worship music and music team members of The Crossing in a way that consistently upholds the values and beliefs of The Crossing.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Development & Leadership
Oversee and manage music production staff.
Stay current with team members through written and oral communication on a regular basis.Develop training opportunities and resources for team members.Be an active part in the potential & new team members process.Contribute to the creative processes for music and programmingSongwriting.
Song and idea demos.Recording / song production.Oversee the execution of all worship-related music and staffing details for weekend services and specified eventsStaff musicians & worship leaders for weekend and specified events based on programming needs and teams per campus.
Oversee contractors, including onboarding and invoicing.Oversee musical aspects of baptism concert and work with production staff to accommodate.Communicate details from programming meetings to music staffEnsure all musical details are properly loaded to Planning Center (charts, mp3’s, etc.).
Manage Ableton details (i.e. looped section for pivot).Prepare song forms.Communicate details from programming meetings to musicians and worship leadersConfirm key signatures with leads at all sites.
Provide specific music details to musicians (i.e. drum pad for an instrument).Work with producers to assign vocal leads for each campus.WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience.Advanced knowledge of industry-standard pre-production technology including, but not limited to, Ableton Live, Pro-Tools or comparable DAW, and other software.Willingness to learn and train others on new music production technology.Ability to play at least one instrument and communicate effectively details for all instruments used at a worship venue at The Crossing.Experienced worship leader and vocalist.Self-motivated.Insatiable learner.Detail oriented.Team player.Passionate about The Crossing and a relationship with God.MUST HAVES FOR ALL STAFF AT THE CROSSING
