Position Summary:
This position increases the awareness of the community through various inside and outside sales and marketing strategies and markets all living arrangements with the goal of maintaining budgeted levels of occupancy.
What You Will Do:
- Market the Community to prospective residents (and their representatives) by phone, personal written communications, and in-home visits and presentations.
- Plan, update and conduct sales and marketing presentations. Provide tours of the facility as part of strategic sales initiative.
- Plan ads, newsletters, and other advertising and public relations materials. Interface with the media outlets regarding interviews and press releases.
- Meet established marketing goals (e.g., calls per day, off-site visits per week, on-site presentations per month, and average gross sales to presentations ratios). Convert high percentage of reservation holders to depositors within given time frame of obtaining reservation.
- Assist with business development through partnering with outside agencies to promote the Community through public awareness, advertising opportunities, and community outreach program. Conduct outside sales activities on more than an occasional basis which will include developing, coordinating, and delivering marketing presentations to agencies, organizations/groups, churches, etc.
- Participate in outside groups (such as civic organizations, boards, business organizations) in order to promote the Community within the greater community.
- Implement aggressive referral networking.
- Assist with management of leads and sales through the prospect tracking system and assist with Marketing Plans.
- Create and provide to Supervisor weekly and monthly reports (such as marketing plans, occupancy reports).
- Participate in development of Community Newsletter.
- Demonstrate positive resident relations. Maintain pleasant, professional attitude at all times.
- Participate in development functions as requested by Supervisor.
- Assist with coordination of activities with other departments.
- Continue to develop job related knowledge, skills and abilities by participating in continuing educational opportunities for personal growth and development.
- Attend in-service classes and staff meetings, as required.
- Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality).
Why You Are Qualified:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university, with major work in marketing, business administration, or related field required.
- At least two (2) years of related work experience in sales or marketing required.
- Valid state driver’s license (and liability insurance) to use personal vehicle for Marketing travel required.
- On a daily basis, throughout the workday: Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, reaching over the head, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation. Must physically be able to lift up to 15 pounds unassisted.
