POSITION OVERVIEW
The Lead Behavioral Health supports clients in their daily living activities while also welcoming and orienting new residents, accompanying them to appointments, and ensuring proper documentation of important information. Responsibilities also include managing resources, training staff, addressing issues, and collaborating within client and treatment team.
Shift : 7 : 30 am to 8 : 00 pm or 7 : 30 pm to 8 : 00 pm
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome new residents onto their assigned unit, providing unit orientation, reviewing resident handbook, smoke / phone schedule and ensuring that resident questions are answered in a compassionate, thorough manner. (Resident belonging inventory and check will be performed by BHT’s)
- Enter memo into resident Carelogic chart addressing relayed information to BHT staff to ensure all shifts / BHT’s are aware.
- Ensure each unit has adequate linens available.
- Train and shadow new BHT staff.
- Monitor resident’s self – administering medication.
- Complete weekend vitals and SOWS with withdraw management residents by 8 : 00 am.
- First contact to address client / BHT problems on the unit.
- Complete work timely and accurately.
- Work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrates effective and respectful communication with peers, residents, and managers.
- Contributes to unit performance activities.
- If additional assistance is needed for Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT), Residential Unit Coordinator will aid.
- Maintain admission / discharge data in Carelogic.
- Perform rounds to ensure residents are where they are supposed to be, during programming hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
