Position Information: The Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant is responsible for providing essential support to clients by conducting intake interviews, performing client assessments, and assisting with scheduling appointments. This role involves maintaining accurate client records, facilitating group sessions under supervision, and connecting clients with relevant community resources. Additionally, the position provides basic counseling support to clients while ensuring they receive appropriate care and guidance.
Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake interviews to assess client needs and gather essential information.
- Perform comprehensive client assessments to determine appropriate services.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with clients and service providers.
- Maintain and update client records in compliance with confidentiality policies.
- Assist in facilitating group sessions under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Connect clients with relevant community resources and support services.
- Provide basic counseling support to clients, offering guidance and referrals as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Active Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification.
Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human services periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
