RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the strategic planning of yard/warehouse operations including capacity, In/Outbound movements of containers, internal movements of materials, and container aging.
• Maintain constant communication with supply chain planning and logistics departments in sales subsidiaries to proactively find solutions to issues such as appointment order
management and delayed direct ship deliveries.
• Work in delivery coordination including; diversion, direct shipment, shipment tracking and delivery from local inland depot or overseas manufacturing to local distribution and
warehousing facilities.
• Maintain metrics reports and analyzes data to assess 3PL KPI performance and provide information to all relevant parties (sales subsidiaries, production control at production plants,
logistics department, Factory warehouse, etc.).
• Work in conjunction with 4PL's to solve various problems related to transportation such as delayed deliveries, yard space, and strategic planning.
• Analyze historical operational data to compile reports and create monthly forecasts (CMF) to present to sales subsidiaries.
• Analyze On-Time Right Quantity (OTRQ) and find long-term solutions to improve failed OTRQ with relevant parties.
• Carrier management – Assist assignment based on rates, capacity, transportation mode(include OTR conversion when needed)
• Analyze costs associated with departmental operations to identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
• Participate in the assessment and review of process alternatives and process change proposal impacts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree (in Business, Logistics)
• Advanced Excel, SAP, WMS and ERP.
• Able to utilize expertise in process from factory to customer and is able to identify and predict unlikely problems within the delivery cycle.
• Has the scope of authority to make changes to process, and personnel, to meet departmental objectives.
• The ability to develop, read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of
transportation documents.
• Resolves problems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires the identification of obscure or undefined factors and decisions have significant impact on business performance.
